Process

No black box.

Openly technology-driven, verifiably human-controlled. This page shows the work — it is the page to forward to your compliance team.

The pipeline, in full

Stage 1

Controlled production

Terminology comes first: a project termbase engineered from your TMs, reference material and the end client’s own language. Then production: machine translation and AI language systems under strict glossary constraint, running exclusively on private, zero-retention endpoints. Client content never touches consumer tools. File engineering preserves tags, structure and formats, including clean PDF reconstruction.

Stage 2

Human verification

An ISO 17100-qualified, state-certified translator (Bavaria) verifies the output. On Verified Translation that means the complete text, not a sample. Medical, legal and financial content additionally gets a mandatory risk pass on numbers, negations and operative clauses — the failure modes that actually hurt.

Stage 3

Documented delivery

Every hand-off carries a QA record: what was checked, what was flagged, what was fixed. The project termbase ships with the files. If your end client asks how the quality was assured, you have the document.

The toolbox
Trados Studio 2024, memoQ, Phrase, XTM, Wordfast, Passolo, browser platforms and professional QA tooling. We work in your environment as comfortably as in ours — quality tooling is a craft here, not an afterthought.

Data security

Private, zero-retention systems
Production endpoints store nothing. Your client’s content is processed and gone, never used to train anything.
No consumer tools, ever
Client content never touches free chatbots or consumer apps. That rule has no exceptions.
NDA-friendly
Your NDAs and your end clients’ NDAs are signed and honored as a matter of course.
Optional anonymization
On request, named entities are pseudonymized before processing and restored afterwards. The sensitive names never enter any system.
GDPR-compliant
EU-based handling, documented processes, data-processing terms on request.
We practice it here

The quality framework

Technology sets the pace. Quality sets the rules.

3-tier error typology
Critical, major, minor — with acceptance thresholds per tier. A delivery either meets them or it does not leave.
Domain checklists
Medical, legal, technical and marketing content each have their own checklist, because their failure modes differ.
Layered QA passes
Automated checks catch the mechanical, human passes catch the meaningful. Both are documented in the QA record.
Compliance-grade, precisely worded. Work here is verified by an ISO 17100-qualified linguist in an ISO-18587-aligned process, with an audit-ready QA trail and documented human oversight in the sense of the EU AI Act. We say “qualified” and “aligned” because that is exactly what it is — precision starts with how we describe ourselves.

Who verifies

Jonas Sappelt, state-certified translator

Jonas Sappelt

State-certified translator (Bavaria), MA in Interpreting and Translation, four university degrees, 10+ years full-time, 5 million+ words. Munich-born, Las Palmas-based. Every verified delivery carries his sign-off — one name, one accountable expert, no anonymous pool.

Questions compliance teams ask

Can we audit the process?
Yes — that is the point of documenting it. The QA record travels with every delivery, and process documentation is available for vendor-qualification reviews.
What exactly is in the QA record?
The checks performed, the issues found by severity, the corrections made, the terminology basis, and the sign-off. Short enough to read, complete enough to audit.
Do you use ChatGPT?
Client content never touches consumer tools. Production runs on private, zero-retention systems under contractual controls — a different world from a free chatbot, and the difference is documented.
Who sees our files?
The verifying linguist. No crowd, no marketplace, no subcontractor pool. Where a program ever needs an additional vetted verifier, that happens openly, never silently.
